Oman's backup and recovery partner, based in Muscat

Decoding IT Solutions designs and runs backup for organisations across the Sultanate — government, financial services, healthcare, logistics and industry. Our engineers hold active Veeam and Acronis certifications and work from our Muscat base, which means a difficult restore is a site visit rather than an overseas support ticket in another time zone.

What we are called in to fix

Backup problems we find in Oman businesses

A backup job configured years ago that nobody has tested since

One copy of the data, sitting in the same room as the server it came from

Cloud-only backup that cannot restore a large server inside the working day

Ransomware that reached the backup share along with everything else

No clear answer on where data is physically stored when an auditor asks

Backup windows that have crept into the start of the working morning

Why Oman businesses choose us

Local delivery, and restores that are proven

01

Engineers based in Muscat

Design, deployment and escalation handled locally, with site visits across the Sultanate when a recovery needs hands on the hardware — not a ticket queue in another time zone.

02

Storage region agreed up front

Where your backup data physically resides is decided with you before deployment. If you have contractual or sector limits on data residency, that shapes the design instead of surfacing at audit.

03

Restores tested, not assumed

We prove a restore before handover and document it. A backup nobody has recovered from is a hypothesis, not a safeguard.

04

One partner across the stack

We already deliver servers, networking, virtualisation and security in Oman, so the backup design fits the infrastructure rather than being bolted onto it.

Questions we get asked

Backup in Oman, answered plainly

Where will our backup data be stored?
On-premises backups stay in your own facility in Oman. For cloud backup we agree the storage region with you before deployment — this matters for government and financial-sector work, so we treat it as a design decision rather than a detail.
Do you support backup we already have?
Usually, yes. We review the existing design against your recovery target, tell you plainly whether it can meet that target, and can then either remediate it as a one-time project or take over the running of it.
How quickly can you restore a server?
With a local backup copy, a failed server can often be running again within the hour. Restoring the same server from cloud storage alone depends on your internet line, which is exactly why we usually keep a local copy as well.
Do you cover sites outside Muscat?
Yes. We support customers with sites in Sohar, Salalah, Duqm and elsewhere in the Sultanate, and design branch backup so it does not depend on anyone on site remembering to do anything.
Is this a one-time project or a contract?
Either. Many customers take implementation only and run it themselves afterwards. Ongoing monitoring and restore testing is optional, delivered under GigaExtend or GigaManaged IT.

Find out whether your backups would survive a bad week

We will review what you have now, test whether it actually restores, and show you plainly where the gaps are — before recommending anything.
